On the website of the Ukrainian State Institute of Cultural Heritage, we are launching the section "Historical building technologies" based on the materials of the collection of petrographic grinds developed over almost half a century by technologists of the Scientific and Technological Department within the Ukrproektrestavratsiya Corporation. Samples of mortars from architectural and archaeological monuments were submitted to the physicochemical laboratory by architects and archaeologists who have become legends of the Ukrainian School of Restoration - Ivan Mohytych, Marionila Govdenko, Valentyna Korneeva, Raisa Bykova, Vladyslav Ivanenko, Yevhenia Plamenytska, Yevhenia Lopushynska, Kost Prysiazhnyi, and others. These studies have expanded our knowledge of the formulations of mortars of historical buildings - from clay and wood to unique cement concrete, lime-carbonate compositions, the "gypsum fresco" of the Tomb of Demeter, and much more interesting information. We invite restorers and scientists to cooperate.
