On December 3, Iryna Prokopenko, Director of the Ukrainian State Institute of Cultural Heritage, took part in an online meeting dedicated to the nomination of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The meeting was held with the participation of a wide range of stakeholders: Barinova Y.D. - Advisor to the Patronage Service of the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine; Voyuta D.Y. - Acting Head of the Department of Regional Tourism Development of the Directorate of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine; Gundorova T.I. - Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Literary Theory of the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Dovgopolova O.A. - Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Odesa National University named after M.V. Shevchenko; Slobodianiuk M.M. - Head of the Department of Philosophy of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Slobodianiuk T. M. - Acting Head of the Sector for Ensuring Cooperation with UNESCO of the Main Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums; Telukha S. S.- Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute"; Shevchuk M.K., Deputy Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management; Yarmysty M.M., First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. The participants considered the issues of memorialization and development of the tourist infrastructure of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. They also discussed a further action plan on these issues.
