The 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee, which is currently taking place in Baku, has inscribed the Sanctuary of Bon Jesus do Monti in Braga (Santuário do Bom Jesus de Braga) on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is one of the most unique and beautiful architectural and landscape complexes in Portugal. The Sanctuary is a popular place of pilgrimage among Catholics, who begin their ascent from the monumental zigzag staircase Via Sacra ("Holy Road"). The Baroque staircase is 116 meters long and has a length of 116 meters. The first mention of the chapel on the top of the hill dates back to 1373. Construction of the Sanctuary began in 1722 under the patronage of Archbishop Rodrigo de Moura Teles of Braga. His coat of arms can be seen above the gate, at the very top of the stairs. The archbishop also contributed to the construction of the second zigzag flight of stairs, which features fountains with figures symbolizing the five senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste. In 1781, the third flight of stairs was built, dedicated to the three biblical virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love, whose sculptural images adorn the fountains. The church itself was built in the neoclassical style. The main facade of the church is decorated with columns in the Ionic and Doric styles. The interior of the temple, made in the Rococo, Baroque and Neoclassical styles, deserves special attention.

Johann Wolfgang Goethe once wrote: "No one knows what his strength is until he uses it." And it is a great joy when you not only feel your strength, but also have a mentor nearby to help you realize it in your work. On December 19, the results were summed up and awards were presented to the participants of the All-Ukrainian creative works competition "Preserve the Heritage-Preserve Ukraine". Children and their teachers from Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Khmelnytsky, and Khmelnytsky regions and the city of Kyiv came to the ceremony.

Iryna Prokopenko, Director of the Ukrainian State Institute of Cultural Heritage, when presenting the Diplomas and Certificates of Appreciation, noted the great creative potential of all the contestants, their genuine interest in the history of their native places and expressed hope that the power and energy of their talents will allow Ukraine to become a successful and prosperous country. In total, 119 young talents from 14 regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. Although not all of them were able to attend the event, everyone will receive diplomas and gifts.
