The monograph is devoted to the development of nomination documentation for several sites on the UNESCO Tentative World Heritage List, primarily those that are under the operational management of the administrations of historical and cultural reserves. In particular, in cooperation with experts from the relevant institutions, in 2011-2012, nomination dossiers and management plans were prepared for such sites as the Ancient City of Chersonesos Tavriya and its chora (Chersonesos Tavriya National Reserve in Sevastopol), the Archaeological Monument of the Tauric River in Sevastopol. Archaeological site "Stone Grave" (National Reserve "Stone Grave"), Historical environment of the capital of the Crimean Khans in the city of Bakhchisarai (KRU "Bakhchisarai Historical and Cultural Reserve").

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee expressed a wish to the Parties to the Convention to widely publicize the nomination dossiers of new proposals for the World Heritage List at the stage of their consideration. In response to this request, the Research Institute of Monument Protection Research prepared textual, illustrative and graphic materials for the publication "Historical and Cultural Reserves: Nomination dossiers of cultural heritage sites proposed by Ukraine for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List". The publication includes the Institute's developments - nomination dossiers for cultural heritage sites proposed for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List: "Archaeological site "Stone Grave", "Historical environment of the capital of the Crimean khans in Bakhchisarai", "Ancient city of Chersonesos Tavriya and its chora (V century BC - XIV century AD)".

The publication is intended for historians of architecture and urbanism, cultural studies, historians, archaeologists, local historians, art historians, museum workers, employees of cultural heritage protection bodies, urban planning and architecture bodies, local governments, students and teachers of educational institutions, activists of the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments, other public organizations, and anyone interested in the history and cultural heritage of Ukraine.
